Retablo for those suffering with Corona virus

Retablo

Mexican retablos always attracted me in their direct narrative with images and text working in harmony. My work was inspired by them in the story telling, using the painting as a mantra of prayer, and retaining a connection with my culture. The work is on metal and have gone through various approaches in painting, traditional, monochromatic, small to large scale and evolving to stencil print and painting. It is my intent to tell a story of love and faith. To record the world as I see it and document small and large events around us.
